Leinster Gates & Automation Ltd (LGA) was established in Jan 2024.
Brian Cunningham, the driving force behind LGA, acquired intellectual property assets and machinery, during the auction process of Killeen Engineering initiated by liquidators, Grant Thornton. Brian ensured that from the outset Leinster Gate Automation would have the tools necessary to serve our customers.
This acquisition enabled Leinster Gates & Automation to establish a strong foundation. These assets allow us to connect with our customers and showcase our offerings.

Brian Cunningham – Managing Director, Leinster Gate Automation
Brian Cunningham is the Managing Director of Leinster Gates & Automation Ltd (LGA). Brian has over two decades of experience in the security and automation industry. Since January 2024, Brian has been at the helm of LGA, leading the company with a commitment to quality and innovation in the manufacturing of aluminium and steel gates, as well as comprehensive automation and site works.
Before founding Leinster Gate Automation, Brian served as General Manager at Killeen Engineering. His tenure from February 2022 to January 2024 came to an unexpected and abrupt end in Dec 2024.
Brian spent 18 years with Screenguard Ireland Ltd., a leading provider of security and automation systems. His extensive experience in business development and strategic planning there laid the groundwork for his success in the gate automation industry.
Brian holds a degree from the Dublin Institute of Technology and has continually enhanced his skills and knowledge through industry-specific training and development programs.
As the Managing Director of LGA, Brian is focused on steering the company towards a future of innovation, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Brian will be joined by a professional team including skilled craftsmen, engineers and installers.
